This original, Emmy-winning investigation began as a concept I developed and pitched, focused on unsafe housing conditions and tenant rights. I led the project from start to finish — researching, investigating, writing, and producing the full piece. I collaborated across the newsroom, bringing in team members with key strengths in visuals, editing, and reporting to elevate the final product. The result was a powerful, in-depth report that resonated with viewers and earned a Heartland Regional Emmy Award for excellence in investigative journalism.

As a producer for Tragedy in Apt. 306, I played a key role in both the creative and investigative aspects of the project. I helped write and produce in-studio segments that shaped the narrative and tone of the special. Beyond the production phase, I continued to pursue accountability by attending city council and county commission meetings to follow up on the systemic failures exposed in our reporting. My work contributed to the deeper investigation into the circumstances surrounding Paoly Bedeski’s death, ensuring that our coverage extended beyond storytelling and into real-world impact.
Breaking News: crash of flight aa 5342
Producer – KAKE News at 4 (January 30, 2025)
I produced this breaking newscast after a deadly mid-air collision over the Potomac River involving a commercial flight from Wichita and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter. In a rapidly evolving situation, I coordinated live team coverage across four separate live shots, integrated real-time sound from the governor, and took the mayor’s news conference to air live as it happened. This newscast required quick editorial decisions, constant updates, and seamless collaboration under pressure, and was later awarded First Place by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.
What I Do
I’m a caffeine-fueled creative producer and editor. I juggle scripts, rundowns, and edits, telling stories for broadcast, digital, and YouTube audiences that are creative, entertaining, and actually useful. I love adapting my voice to any audience, whether that be breaking news, lifestyle, pop culture…you name it, I’ll make it work. When I’m not nose-deep in scripts, I’m probably gaming, exploring epic worlds in Skyrim or WoW, creating new kingdoms in Minecraft or fighting Zombies in Roblox with my 5-year-old son.

Each week, I came up with trending, high-performing topics for YouTube, from celebrity news to reality TV twists, and assigned them to writers (myself included). I wrote scripts that moved fast, matched the channel’s voice, and kept viewers watching.
Whether it was a quick explainer or a 10-minute deep-dive, every line was built for flow, tone, and watch time.

Lyric Video – Motion Graphics & Typography
Given just the song, I brought the lyrics to life using playful typography and dynamic text animation in After Effects. I chose a font that matched the track’s fun, peppy vibe and designed movement that kept the energy up from start to finish.
